Vice President Lin Chunhong Meets with British Guests

On November 28th, Vice President Lin Chunhong met with six people including Ash Green, First Secretary of Trade Policy at the British Embassy in China, and Will Kennedy, Economic Consul at the British Consulate General in Guangzhou, to exchange ideas on further promoting trade and investment cooperation between Hainan and the UK.

Vice President Lin Chunhong stated that as the official trade and investment promotion agency in Hainan, CCPIT Hainan Sub council has maintained close exchanges with British trade promotion agencies, business associations, and enterprises such as the Beijing Representative Office of the British China Trade Association and the Beijing Representative Office of the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry. For two consecutive years, CCPIT has organized invitations to British business associations and enterprise executives in China to visit Hainan Free Trade Port, And exchanges were conducted with the Hainan Provincial Government, relevant functional departments, and city and county governments, achieving good results. At the same time, it also introduced the trade and investment situation between Hainan and the United Kingdom, as well as the new development opportunities brought by the construction of a free trade port in Hainan to British enterprises.

Regarding this, Ash Green, First Secretary of Trade Policy at the British Embassy in China, expressed gratitude to CCPIT Hainan Sub council for their efforts to promote the development of British enterprises in Hainan Free Trade Port. As the largest trading and import partner of the UK, China has strong attraction to British enterprises and is willing to promote more pragmatic cooperation between the two sides. Subsequently, both sides discussed how to guide British enterprises to enter Hainan Free Trade Port for development in a targeted manner, and had in-depth exchanges in terms of business environment, services for foreign-funded enterprises, and commercial legal services. Both sides also reached consensus on further strengthening economic and trade information exchange and organizing economic and trade activities. Minister of International Relations Li Pinggong and others accompanied the meeting.
