On November 10th, CCPIT Hainan Sub council President Ning Hongwen met with the delegation led by Fu Yongmei, the Chief Representative of CCPIT Hainan Sub council in the Middle East and the President of the Hainan Chamber of Commerce and Hometown Association in the United Arab Emirates. She discussed how to further leverage the role of the Hainan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade's Representative Office in the Middle East and help Hainan carry out trade cooperation and investment attraction in the Middle East and North Africa region. Recently, the representative office in the Middle East led the organization of nearly 40 business leaders from member enterprises of the UAE China Chamber of Commerce, UAE Hainan Chamber of Commerce and Hometown Association, and well-known enterprises such as UAE PHX International Trade Group and Dubai KSH Logistics Supply Chain Co., Ltd., embarking on a business trip to Hainan Free Trade Port.
In order to actively promote the construction of the "two headquarters bases" in Hainan and promote communication and cooperation between Hainan, the United Arab Emirates, and the business community in the Middle East, CCPIT Hainan Sub council focuses on playing the role of "overseas representative office+" and actively connects with relevant functional departments in Hainan. Through its representative office in the Middle East, it has extensive contact with trade promotion agencies and business associations in the Middle East region, and adopts various methods such as online and offline to reach the business community in the Middle East, especially in the United Arab Emirates Chinese and overseas Chinese entrepreneurs promote the latest developments and opportunities in the development of Hainan Free Trade Port, and actively promote organizations and enterprise representatives who are interested in conducting trade and investment in Hainan to come to Hainan for inspection.
This is the first time in two years since CCPIT Hainan Sub council established its representative office in the Middle East that a large-scale economic and trade delegation has been organized to visit. The entrepreneurs of the delegation came with expectations and trade investment intentions for the construction of a free trade port in Hainan. This time, they not only had face-to-face exchanges with leaders of Hainan Province and relevant functional departments, but also shared Dubai's experience and practices in building a free trade port. They also inspected Haikou, Wenchang, Qionghai, Sanya, Ledong, Danzhou Chengmai and other cities and counties, as well as Haikou Jiangdong New Area, Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Hainan Ecological Software Park, etc.
According to the Chief Representative of Fu Yongmei, the representative office in the Middle East has received three batches of delegations from Hainan Province since the beginning of this year, assisted in coordinating with relevant local departments, industrial parks, and enterprises to carry out more than 10 official and economic and trade exchange activities, and also promoted the settlement of Hainan Dubai Investment Group, Hainan Zhonghuang Investment Group, and others.
