At the opening ceremony, Liu Xiaoming, on behalf of the provincial government, congratulated the opening of the forum and welcomed the arrival of guests from various countries. He stated that Hainan is a young province in China with open genes and an important node of the 21st century Maritime Silk Road, connecting mainland China and Southeast Asia, the two most active global markets. Hainan is geographically close and connected to Japan, South Korea, and ASEAN countries, with a long history of friendly exchanges, broad prospects for cooperation, and enormous development potential. At present, Hainan is accelerating the construction of a free trade port with Chinese characteristics, creating a headquarters base for Chinese enterprises to enter the international market and a headquarters base for overseas enterprises to enter the Chinese market, weaving a dense air sea international transportation network and international economic and trade cooperation network, building an international shipping hub for the western land sea new channel, and an aviation regional gateway hub for the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
