Vice President Chen Hongliang Meets with Acting Consul General of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Guangzhou

On June 15th, Vice President Chen Hongliang met with a delegation led by Sadar Muhammad, Acting Consul General of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Guangzhou. Both sides exchanged ideas on jointly promoting bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
 
Vice President Chen Hongliang welcomed the visit of Consul General Sadar Muhammad, and briefly introduced the main functions of the Hainan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the overall situation of the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. He focused on introducing policies such as 30% value-added processing and corporate income tax in Hainan Free Trade Port, as well as the well-known exhibitions held in Hainan.
 
Consul General Sadar Muhammad stated that Pakistani enterprises are increasingly paying attention to the Hainan Free Trade Port, and it is necessary for Pakistani trade promotion institutions and business associations to strengthen communication and cooperation with the Hainan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade. He suggested that both sides use economic and trade platforms such as exhibition forums to further practical cooperation. He also introduced the production and export situation of Pakistani agricultural products and the intention of two global multinational enterprises to cooperate in trade and investment in Hainan.
 
Both sides have reached a consensus on cooperation in business group visits, economic and trade information exchange, exhibition forums, and promoting the establishment of good working relationships between Hainan and Pakistan's trade promotion agencies and business associations.
 
Minister Li Pinggong of the International Liaison Department and others attended the meeting.
