The event attracted over 120 attendees from 47 key foreign-funded enterprises (including 15 Fortune 500 companies), including Qualcomm, Pfizer Investment Co., Ltd., General Electric Healthcare (GE Healthcare), Mizuho Bank of Japan, Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and 16 international business associations in China, including the European Chamber of Commerce and the China UK Trade Association.
Feng Fei, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Liu Xiaoming, Governor, met with the delegation of foreign-funded enterprises on their "Hainan trip" in Haikou; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor Bater held a government enterprise dialogue with the delegation. The delegation also conducted on-site inspections in key industrial parks such as Haikou National High tech Zone, Hainan Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Sanya Central Business District, Sanya Yacht Center, and Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City.
The media highly paid attention to this event, with over 30 mainstream media outlets and over 40 journalists present for interviews. Among them, more than 10 CCTV media outlets, including People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV News Center, and CCTV Network, provided comprehensive coverage of the event. Representatives of foreign-funded enterprises participating in the event stated that the event was very successful and they gained a deeper understanding of Hainan. Hainan has a very advantageous geographical location, excellent business environment, and preferential policies for free trade ports. They are willing to invest and develop in Hainan.
In this year's work, the branch will continue to fully play its role as a fighting fortress, strengthen the deep integration of party building and business work, organize the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) International Cooperation Forum with high standards, and carefully prepare for large-scale economic and trade activities such as the Hainan Week of the Osaka World Expo in Japan.
