The People's Government of Hainan Province, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, jointly hosts the "Hainan Tour" event for foreign-funded enterprises

The "Hainan Tour" event for foreign-funded enterprises, jointly hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the People's Government of Hainan Province, was held in Hainan from March 18th to 21st. On March 19th, Feng Fei, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Liu Xiaoming, Governor, met with a delegation led by Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, representing foreign-funded enterprises on their trip to Hainan.
The "Hainan Tour" of foreign-funded enterprises is the first event of the "Local Tour" of foreign-funded enterprises by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in 2024, aimed at helping foreign-funded enterprises seize the development opportunities of Hainan Free Trade Port. During their stay in Qiong, the delegation will carry out a series of activities such as government enterprise dialogue, industrial investigation, and communication in Haikou, Sanya, and other places.
Feng Fei, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and Government, welcomes representatives of foreign business associations and foreign-funded enterprises to come to Hainan for inspection.   As the world's largest free trade port, Hainan has unique advantages in open policies, unique ecological environment, and a rule of law business environment. With Hainan's high-quality development entering the fast lane, there are infinite opportunities for development in this hot land in the future. Hainan will provide timely follow-up services during the event, increase policy promotion, strengthen communication and coordination, promote practical cooperation, and create better conditions for entrepreneurs to invest and develop in Hainan.
Ren Hongbin stated that the "Local Tour" of foreign-funded enterprises is a brand event of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The first event in 2024 was selected in Hainan, demonstrating the confidence and expectations of all sectors of society in the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. Hainan is benchmarking against the world's highest level of openness and accelerating the construction of a free trade port with Chinese characteristics. With the implementation of more than 180 policy documents, it has shown a strong momentum of high-quality development. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will take this event as an opportunity to carry out the work of "going out" and "inviting in", continue to build more targeted platforms for the domestic and foreign business communities, promote more foreign enterprises to invest in Hainan, and share the development opportunities of the free trade port.
During the meeting, representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, the German Chamber of Commerce in China, the Japan Trade Promotion Agency, Qualcomm, the American Chinese Entrepreneurs' Chamber of Commerce, General Electric Medical (China) Co., Ltd., DHL Group, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd., Decathlon China and other business associations, institutions and foreign-funded enterprises made speeches successively, expressing their hope to explore cooperation with Hainan in the digital economy, health care industry, equipment remanufacturing and other fields, and put forward suggestions on promoting the free and convenient access of personnel and optimizing the business environment.
After the meeting, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the People's Government of Hainan Province renewed their memorandum of cooperation. The two sides will carry out practical cooperation in supporting and promoting the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, promoting international economic and trade cooperation, and promoting the construction of multilateral and bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
