Consul general Dennis first extended her greetings and said that she had visited Hainan last year and was deeply impressed. At present, Cuba is undergoing commercial and economic transformation and is committed to the development of food, biotechnology, tourism and energy industries. With a universal vaccination rate of nearly 100% and a high level of education, Cuba is a good destination for tourism and investment. She hopes to enhance exchanges with CCPIT, seek cooperation in commercial exchanges and obtain relevant information on the construction of Hainan free trade port.
Vice President Chen Hongliang said that CCPIT led economic and trade delegations to Cuba in 2016 and 2018 to promote exchanges between enterprises of both sides. The construction of Hainan free trade port will bring opportunities for Cuban high-quality products to enter the Chinese market. Looking forward to the future, there is a lot of room for cooperation between the two sides. In the future, the two sides can strengthen normalized contacts, establish economic and trade exchange channels, carry out information exchange and serve bilateral enterprises.
